The Saudi Cooking Art Book was conceived as a cultural initiative by the Al-Nahda Association (Cultural Committee) in 1401 AH (1981 AD). As the first publication of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia dedicated to culinary arts, it aims to document traditional dishes from every region. By introducing these recipes into homes, the book promotes Saudi cuisine and preserves a diverse, authentic culinary heritage to serve as a documented reference for future generations.

This book features authentic contributions from an elite group of women in Saudi society who determined the specific quantities for each recipe. The work is distinguished by its precise measurements and scales for every dish. This edition preserves that legacy, supported and enhanced by the Culinary Arts Authority of the Ministry of Culture, which oversaw the recalibration of recipes, new photography, and the publication of this volume.
